Mission
Mission & Vision
The main goal of education is to raise children who love Jesus and meet the high calling that God places on their lives. This community of families is called to equip children of the next generation of leaders and servants to be confident, sure of their identity in Christ, and citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven. The Equip 2:22 Homeschool Hive is built to teach children by the the classical model of education and to encourage and equip parents. We value and develop deep community with true friendships.

Teaching Methods
BIBLICAL
All wisdom, knowledge, and understanding flows from the Bible. The Bible is a key primary source text for our education.
Webster’s 1828 Dictionary is the dictionary which uses the Word as a resource for defining words. We define key terms as we go, to strengthen our minds and form a base for understanding.
The way we teach requires the class leaders to become master teachers of a topic, and pass their passion to students through sincere modeling. Don’t be intimidated. We are interested in the journey, not the destination, and we are learning together.
CLASSICAL
Teaching methods follow the “Trivium”, which means ‘three roads’.
The first road is the Poll Parrot or Grammar Stage (1st-4th). The second stage is the Logic Stage (5h-8th). And the third stage is the Rhetoric Stage (9th-12).
This leads to developmentally appropriate interaction and exploration with learning materials and methods which children and growing teens find fun, interesting, relevant, and compelling!
PRINCIPLED
The Bible teaches foundational principles for each area of study. These principles for each subject will be explored year after year, so the student and the teacher know the unseen laws that guide and shape our world.
We will use the 4 Rs (Research, Reason, Relate, Record), the Notebook Method, word studies, timeline on the Chain of Christianity, hands-on experiments and experiences, immersions, field studies and more to make our studies come alive!

THE HOLY SPIRIT
God has given a mandate to parents of this generation to raise up the Shadrach, Mechachs and Abednegos who need to be able to stand in the ‘fire’ of today’s culture, uncompromising. They need the Holy Spirit to live in this unnatural, supernatural, above-natural existence where love flows like a river in the face of adversity. Like Moses who delivered an entire nation out of captivity, this generation needs to stand above a wicked modern ‘philosophy’ and pave a way for “The Remnant”. God has always preserved a remnant, and He has told me numerous times He has set a plumb-line and is looking North, South, East, and West, for the pure in heart. We raise our hands to God and say “pick us” just like Isaiah did. – Robyn Cooper

Locations and Meetups
Our legacy campus meets in Campbell, CA. Our second campus is in Cumming, GA. We will also adventure into nature and on field trips together, we will worship and fellowship together, have Moms’ Nights Out, Dads’ Nights Out, book clubs, Family Camp, and much more, as you wish. We wish to ‘do life together’ with you!

Bring your lunch to Homeschool Hive days. We want to ‘break bread’ together on a regular basis. We want the kids to have plenty of playtime too!

In Equip 2:22, no student gets left behind. As a homeschooler, you’re not alone. Moreover, this is an excellent path!

Extracurricular Activities
Family camp, book clubs, playdates, clubs, Ladies or Fella’s nights/mornings, feast nights, family fellowship and worship opportunities… this is about more than “just homeschool!”
Technology In the Classroom
We encourage parents to avoid using tech (phones, etc.) that is not related to the content of leading/supporting a class.
We fully ENCOURAGE taking pictures for yearbook.
Some children may need to use technology to assist them, and that is just fine! Let’s get their needs met.
