STATEMENT OF FAITH

Statement of faith

All who join this Homeschool Co-Op are required to acknowledge we are teaching to this Statement of Faith. Our Statement of Faith summarizes essential Christian beliefs, shows unity in Christ, and guards the church and co-op from error. While our leaders share Christian faith, this co-op welcomes you, regardless of your faith, to attend and enjoy the opportunities we have to offer. It is our joy to have you join us!

God’s Truth is more important than anything we believe. This means that CORPORATION will consider theology, positions on issues, and all other matters pertaining to Christianity, faith and religion with dedication to ascertaining the Truth, whatever it may be.

Read our Credeal Statements below, the “We believes…” and see if you agree.

The “We Believes”

We believe that the Holy Bible, is 66 books of the Old and New Testament, was written by men divinely inspired, and is perfect.

    • That it has God for its author, salvation for its end
    • It is truth without any error
    • It reveals the principles by which God will judge us
    • It shall remain to the end of the world, the true center of Christian union
    • It is the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and opinions should be tried.
    • The Bible is the undisputed Primary Source Material for Christianity, and CORPORATION regards the 66 Book Canon as the inerrant Word of God in the original manuscript form.
    • The Board of Directors has the authority to be the sole and final interpreter of the Bible.

We believe that there is one, and only one, living and true God, an infinite, intelligent Spirit, whose name is YAHWEH, the Maker and Supreme Ruler of Heaven and earth.

He is:

  • Holy, and worthy of all possible honor, confidence, and love
  • The unity of the Godhead there are three persons, the Father (a), the Son (b), and the Holy Spirit ©
  • Equal in every divine perfection [co-equal, co-eternal, co-essential]

The Father is the first person of the Trinity. His fatherhood involves both His designation within the Trinity and His relationship with mankind. He is the Creator of all things. As the only absolute and omnipotent Ruler in the universe, He is sovereign in creation, providence, and redemption. As Creator He is Father to all men, but He is spiritual Father only to believers.

Jesus Christ is God the Son, the second person of the Trinity. When Jesus was on Earth during His incarnation, truly God and truly man, only setting aside divine rights,  not divine attributes. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died a substitutionary death on the cross. On the third day, according to the Scriptures, He rose from the dead and ascended into heaven. Jesus is currently seated at the right hand of the Father, interceding on our behalf and one day will literally return physically/bodily with great power and glory.

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. He regenerates, indwells, baptizes [at new birth], guides, convicts, comforts, and seals all believers in Christ and empowers those yielded to God to obedience. He also empowers all believers with “spiritual gifts” that build up and unify the church. He is alive and still speaking to us today. We believe children who profess Jesus as their Lord and Savior have access to hear His voice. (Acts 2:17-21).

We believe that man was created in holiness, under the law of his Maker (1); but by voluntary transgression fell from that holy and happy state (Romans 3:23)
  • We believe that man was created in holiness, under the law of his Maker (1); but by voluntary transgression fell from that holy and happy state (Romans 3:23)
  • We believe that the salvation of sinners is free, wholly of grace, and requires repentance. (Ephesians 2:8-9, 2 Peter 3:9)
  • We believe those that do not receive Jesus face the judgment of eternal death (Romans 6:23)
  • We believe we find pardon from all sin through the justification of faith (Romans 5:1)
  • We believe that the children of God are taken on a sanctification and growth journey with Him, and that the fruits of the Spirit should also grow over time (Galatians 5:22-26).
  • We believe that the children of God are taken on a sanctification and growth journey with Him, and that the fruits of the Spirit should also grow over time (Galatians 5:22-26).
  • We believe God asks His children to be sober-minded in the judgment of ourselves, transformed by the renewing of the mind every morning, seek unity, and above all, ask God for His leadership and opinions, submitting to Him and meeting each other with grace (1 Peter 5, Romans 12).
  • We believe the law of God sits above the law of man, and when the law of man offends and refutes God’s eternal law, that citizens of heaven will stand up to represent God to bring humanity back to God’s standards (Isaiah 55:8-9).
  • We believe the responsibility of believers is to be culture-changers and leaders, unified by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the gospel, fully engrossed in Jesus’ culture as written in the Bible, and exercising the gifts, rights, and privileges invested in them by his Word and His Spirit.
  • We believe there is a supernatural exchange and benefit to taking communion together, beforehand, asking God to help us repent of our sins and show us how to become more like Him.
  • We believe the Sabbath day is holy and should be observed, and is the meeting place of regeneration and refueling with God to be able to do His handiwork (Deuteronomy 5:12, Mark 2:27, Hebrews 4:9-12).
