A true Learning Environment
GA ClassesThese classes have been carefully curated to include all kinds of learners, auditory, visual, and kinesthetic. We are using Claritas (classical & Christian) memory work as our ‘spine’, and asking the Holy Spirit to teach us how to stack the knowledge through the sieve of the Bible. We are using the Biblical or Hebraic and Christian Classical Methods for teaching.

Peek into our class culture
Classes are led by Class Leaders, who is another parent, just like you and I. That said, class time has been geared towards group activities, group work, meaningful writing, and games.
We are major fans of the mind-body connection to learning, and classroom learning for children works better with movement. A classroom can be filled with learning, which is also filled with bubbling laughter and fun games. In fact, learning is stickier when it is more fun or out of ordinary. A classroom will not look like the public school education I was given, and it shouldn’t. We are not turning out factory-workers.
Our classes
Teaching the Faithful of tomorrow
Two days each week will start with Morning Assembly. This is a time for families to gather and be encouraged with scripture, worship the Lord, recite the Pledge of Allegiance, a time for children to learn how to hear God’s voice, and walk in the power of the Holy Spirit.
There are guidelines for how long children at each age should actually be learning. The older the child, the more hours can be devoted to learning.
The specific age groupings you see here are subject to modification based on our numbers each year.
The big focus here is play and organized fun. Depending on the age of the child, they will relish play time, snack time, quiet time, outdoor time, story time, songs, crafts, plus light memory work for 4-5 year olds, beginner phonics and numbers, and show and tell for those who are able.

With a little more maturity, and a lot of hand-holding, the kids this age will love memory work and games, writing, public speaking (or show and tell), plus phonics, reading, writing, simplified grammar, reading comprehension, simplified history projects, and age-appropriate science projects.

Kids in this level of coursework and maturity are ready to chew on more meat. To the same memory work & games, they will partner together to accomplish more advanced writing, spelling and reading comprehension, group work, grammar skills, public speaking with more focus and skill-building, history projects, science projects and even financial stewardship. 6th graders are strongly encouraged to participate in JV Speech and Debate Club.

Kids in this level of coursework and maturity are ready to chew on some real meat. They devote themselves to more advanced writing through rhetoric, word studies, Latin and logic, They still relish and refine public speaking with more focus and skill-building, science projects and more financial literacy and stewardship. Involvement in Speech and Debate Club through STOA is strongly recommended.

Read below for more information about each class offering. Equip 2:22 Homeschool Hive was designed to create the Daniels of this generation. We ALL work hard when we are together, but we also play, and your lifting at home will be greatly supported!
Memory work through Claritas Publishing will be done each meeting day, and woven throughout our classes. Claritas memory work will function as our ‘spine’ for other courses, and covers English Grammar, Scripture, Math, Science, History, Geography, Latin, Scripture, Hymns, the Presidents, and a History Timeline.
We are looking for a parent to devote him or herself to adding the Logic of English (LOE). LOE is used for spelling, handwriting, comprehensions, and grammar – The kids would be taught on the level they are in at the moment. There are several levels available. See why we chose LOE below.
We integrate The Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW) style instruction for skill building and writing. This program is amazing, and uses the formula “easy + 1” to avoid tears and pain. We can lift the kids into their ability, and create fluid pursuasive cogent kids who can grow to really love writing. The Structure and Style of from IEW will help our children RECORD what they learn using the NOTEBOOK METHOD.
STEM classes – In GA, we are using Math Map and Apologia to deeply explore the language of math, and a science discipline. Each year we assess the topics and leaders work with our Class Leaders for science to help choose the best curriculum together. In Year 1, we used Apologia Science for projects. In Year 2, we started applying The Principle Approach to our study of Natural History for a much deeper and narrower experience which focused on teaching the children how to think like a Christian scientist. In Year 4, Dr. Ian Cooper taught biology with hands-on dissections and models to make the learning come to life.
Foreign Language – simple Latin memory work within Claritas is presented in an easy, fun, memorable way. Latin can be incorporated in bigger ways for middle schoolers. I would love a Latin leader to come into Equip!
Free play / social skills – every kid needs to play. We include buffers for down time for the kids and the parents on Equip 2:22 Homeschool Hive days.
Extra-curricular options – we are highly interested in bringing drama /music / book clubs / math clubs to the kids as those are inspired to lead it.

Ideal Coursework
Class Listing
We have carefully curated the course offerings. Take a look below!

Morning Assembly
Worship and Devotions
Equip 2:22 is a house of worship and prayer. This is a place where we really worship the Lord and read the Bible together.
Every time we gather, we start our day by honoring the Lord in worship, Bible study, and prayer.
Children and parents alike are welcomed into an environment where they can learn and grow by putting God first.
The kids will have opportunities to practice hearing God’s voice through activations. They will grow in their identity in Him through “True Identity”. Parents will be equipped to lead their children’s spiritual lives by example, and by taking turns.

Middle and High School Lit
Principle Approach Biblical Classical Middle and High School Literature
We are using the Principle Approach methods to help us answer life’s 3 ultimate questions: ‘who made me’, ‘why was I made’, and ‘what is my duty’. In this class, students discover Biblical Truths, the 5 classical elements of literature, and enjoy IEW-Style writing practice, too. Stories will come alive, and literature is fun! But, more importantly, the children will be able to ‘live a thousand lives’ by reading about others’ lives and weighing right from wrong.
Children will use Noah Webster’s 1828 Dictionary to define terms and think about their application. They will explore roots, prefixes, and suffixes. They will understand how inward character determines outward behavior.

Claritas Publishing K-6th
Ages 4+
Claritas Publishing is a group of Bible-believing Protestants and Catholics who have written and compiled grammar stage memory work consisting of Scripture, Latin, English Grammar, Math, Science, History, Geography, Timeline, and Hymns. They want to nourish the child’s soul on truth, goodness, and beauty so that, in Christ, the student is enabled to better know, glorify, and enjoy God. Their Memory Work Guides and accompanying audio align with four historical cycles.
In 2025-2026 we completed Cycle 1 which covers Ancient History to the Fall of Rome. Cycle 2 is next, which covers the Middle Ages from the Dark Ages to the Explorers of the New World.

Science Classes K-12: Astronomy
Hands On Science with Apologia Astronomy
To think like a scientist is to apply the “Scientific Method” framework for thought, design, action, observation, and record.
We are studying astronomy using Apologia’s Astronomy coursework. Dr. Ian Cooper will be back to teach us! This is a “journey that starts with the mysteries of the universe. It goes back in time to investigate the history of astronomy and explores what the early stargazers saw and understood, how the technology advanced what we see and investigate now, and how that technology works. This is a hands-on course!

Math Map for K-12
Choose your children's age level
Math Map is a “classical, Christian math curriculum designed to help homeschool families seek God”
It develops:
- “fluency with the language of mathematics”
- “the practice of the habits of classical mathematicians”
It is the only comprehensive classical, Christian math curriculum available.
Each week, a new concept will be introduced and practiced with the students. God created the world with order. When we understand the language of math over the course of years, we can become fluent in it.

History Classes K-6th
Hands On History
Following the era for the Claritas Cycle we are covering, class leaders will investigate with hands-on activities, immersive experiences, cooking experiences, and media that bring these lessons to life.
Children will build a history timeline in their own notebooks and chart events on the Chain of Christianity as they also learn a timeline from Claritas Publishing.
Art projects and memory-building will flow from history lessons as students form a beautiful permanent record of their learning.

Pen and Ink - K-6th Book Club
Book Club and Writing Response
Reading and writing doesn’t have to be intimidating and formal. Join our Pen and Ink Club to participate in reading Classic books aloud together and having time to write a response with a prompt.
Renee will be giving specific feedbacks to the children in class on their writing, and children can share their work together.
The art of reading aloud improves memory and learning, focus and comprehension, develops language and vocabulary, and builds confidence.
It also builds friendships in a low stress environment while growing a love of literature!

Other?
PE and Chorus... what else?
Equip is led by parents. What is your passion? In Year 4, we had Abby who led PE and Chorus for our kids. We also had Mr. Gregg who led Woodworking Shop, and Micah Cooper who taught Oral Health.

We Know How to Make Learning Fun For Kids
Do your kids cry because they are overwhelmed? Moan because they are bored? Mine have too.
Instead of fighting their stage of development, we ‘go with the grain’, making learning age appropriate, while also knowing when kids are interested, they get absorbed. We make learning fun with games, sticky memory mnemonics, songs, hand motions, stories, and creativity.
